    IHDN PRESIDENT & WIFE TURN 50!

    >>About 140 family and friends attended the 50 years old celebration of IHDN President, Dr. Agamah and his wife, June Agamah on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the home of Steve and Sally Seiple in Springfield, Illinois. Happy 50+50.


    Volunteers ready for 17th Summer Mission Trip from July 1-14, 2010

    >> IHDN President has announced 27 volunteers, some of whom are surgeons, anesthesiologist, nurses, and medical students excited to participate at the 17th Ghana Mission trip. The focus of the trip is Medical, Surgical and Gynecological-based services. There is a perioperative nursing workshop scheduled for July 5 in Accra, Ghana.


    Please PRAY for a successful mission trip.

    >>The American Public Health Association (APHA) has accepted their Abstract, entitled "Hypertension in southeastern Ghana : Prevalence, awareness, treatment, and control" for Poster presentation during the 138th APHA Annual Meeting (November 6-10, 2010) in Denver, CO. The presentation will be at this session: Cardiovascular disease and diabetes epidemiology poster session, scheduled for Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 4:30 PM.     IHDN sponsors the training of Nurse Anesthesiologist

    >> Mr. Marcellinus Djreke, one of the founding nurses of the hospital,
    has decided to pursue further training as a nurse anesthesiologist.
    IHDN is sponsoring his 2-year training at a cost of about $10,000.
    Marcellinus is 27 years old, married with a son. This training will help
    us increase the surgical care we provide currently at the hospital. 


    17th Ghana Mission Trip planned for July 1-14, 2010

    >> We are presently recruiting volunteers for our 17th Ghana Mission trip to be undertaken from July 1-14, 2010. The focus of this trip will be Medical, Surgical and Gynecological.
