  • IHDN Summer Mission Trip 2011: Safe arrival in Ghana of IHDN Mission Team A
The 18th Ghana Mission Trip for 2011 started [June 19, 2011] with IHDN President's announcement of the safe arrival in Ghana, after one of the longest trip to Ghana from Chicago, of Mission Team A. An 8 hour flight delay in Chicago contributed to this delay because the team missed the British Airways connecting flight from London to Accra.

Team A is made up of: Mr. Benjamin Agamah, Mr. Ben Henkle, and Ms. Sarah Henkle. This is the third trip to Ghana for Mr. Ben Henkle.  He has had a great experience in Ghana and wanted to share that experience with people close to him. He, therefore, recruited his sister, Sarah, to help and share the excitement together.  Both Henkles are medical students at SIU School of Medicine, Springfield, and Rush Medical School Chicago, respectively.  Their primary focus will be continuing the research work on hypertension and then assist at the IHDN Mission Hospital.

Mr. Benjamin Agamah will be preparing for the arrival of Team B Mission team trip from the USA [July 13 to July 27, 2011].

  • Winter Mission Trip planned for March 4 to 13, 2011

Mission trip to Ghana, originally scheduled for late January, had to be postponed to early March because of June dad's funeral. IHDN President, Dr. Agamah, and Sarah Agamah will be in Ghana from March 4-13. Dr. Agamah has requested prayers as follows:

"Please pray specifically for us as we make the trip. Pray for good health, traveling mercies and God's grace, wisdom and guidance as we seek to pursue these goals. Pray that the Ghanaian staff will not be discouraged in the present situation. Pray that the Lord of the harvest will provide all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  Pray for the people we are seeking to reach through healthcare. Pray that IHDN will continue to be a source of blessing to these villages for His glory.  Pray for the rest of the family being left behind. Thank you for being a partner on this journey. "
Please join Hope Church community in praying for them on this trip.

  • WITH SYMPATHY
Mr. Wood, June Agamah's father, died recently on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, in Brooklyn, NY. He was 86 years old. Mr. Wood was full of life and very much loved by his family and friends. As he aged, he remained active and was still able to recite poems from memory extemporaneously.

To comfort the family, please send your condolences and prayers to June Agamah [IHDN President's wife] (jcagamah@aol.com), and Dr. Agamah (ihdn@aol.com).
