Two teams were sponsored to visit Ghana between July 18 and August 21, 2000. Some of their activities were:

Medical Laboratory training by Mrs. Erica Timmerman and Ms. Abina Wood

Computer Science Training by Mr. Tim Rice, assisted by his son, Luke Rice

Advanced English and Mathematics courses offered by two Pleasant Plains High School students - Mollie Rice and Annie Rice

Primary care services by Dr. Jill Utley, Physician from the University of Illinois Medical School
-
Continuing Community Health and Development training by Dr. Jill Utley, Mrs. Nancy Rice and Mrs. June Agamah
IHDN donated medical supplies to local medical facilities and launched the environmental sanitation committee. The goal of this committee is to mobilize the community to pool their resources to improve the environment by repairing the major road in the community and build new roads in surrounding areas. IHDN volunteers also participated in Christian Fellowship activities.
