6th Medical Mission Trip - 2002

There were two Mission trips to Ghana in 2002.

1. The first trip involved nine-member volunteer team who traveled to Ghana from June 29 through August 13, 2002 when we offered programs at two sites:

Agbozume, GHANA
In addition to participation in the classroom painting and road construction, this is a summary of some of the activities:

Workshop on Sexual abstinence by Mrs. June Agamah and Mrs. Angie Nesbitt
Elementary school teaching by Mrs. June Agamah and Mrs. Angie Nesbitt
Marriage seminar by Dr. Edem Agamah, and his wife, Mrs. June Agamah
Computer Science training by Mrs. Betty Morrison
Tropical medicine and international health care management by Drs. Edem Agamah and Dr. Sagi Matthew

Workshop on Epi-Info and research methodology by Dr. Remi Imeokparia.

2. The second Mission trip occurred in November, 2002

Ms. Ekua Blankson

A diabetic health educator, Ms. Ekua Blankson, from California was the only volunteer who was sponsored to travel to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for one week.
