• Medical and Nursing Students Tutorial We hosted 9 medical and nursing students at Agbozume. They assisted us at Lotakor on one of the clinic days. We spent one evening reviewing various topics to help prepare them for upcoming exams. They found this tutorial very helpful. We hope that we can continue this aspect of our work.

• Land Purchase for new IHDN Clinic While in Ghana we purchased a piece of land about 2 miles away from Agbozume. This land will be used in building a new clinical facility for our work in Ghana. Please join us in thanking the Lord for this opportunity and pray with us as we pursue this project.

• Meeting with Sexual Abstinence Clubs After our trip to Ghana last year, we challenged the teachers from the various junior and senior secondary schools in the Agbozume area to help us in the establishment of Sexual Abstinence Clubs in their schools. I am pleased to inform you that five schools now have Sexual Abstinence Clubs.

• Christian Leadership Training Most of the Christian leaders trained from previous years were no longer active in this program. We however hosted a workshop for about 10 new leaders on Christian character, emphasizing values such as honesty, integrity, hard work and dependability. The challenges of poverty and their effects on a Christian leader's witness and testimony were discussed.

• Sanitation and Road works We were disappointed to find out the villagers are now putting household thrash along the newly constructed road. While there, we had to remind them of the health hazards of improper waste disposal. We recruited the students from the abstinence club and some of the villagers to help clear the garbage. A 6x8x4 feet land fill was dug for waste disposal. We hope that they will continue to practice good environmental health. We did not do any road construction this time because of inadequate resources. We will continue with phase II in the near future once we have enough resources.

• Church Services at Nogokpo and Agbozume We held a community church service at Nogokpo one Sunday. Nogokpo is one of the surrounding villages of Agbozume, with a large number of voodoo shrines. Until the past few years, there were no churches over there. Our medical outreach work opened the doors for us to reach these people. Our partnership with these churches gave them credibility. The church service was well attended by the villagers. Dr. Agamah preached at the service. Over 15 children and adults made a decision to give their lives to the Lord. We pray that the Lord will bless the follow up work and help strengthen the work of the Lord at Nogokpo.
